Finding great baby shoes has been a battle of mine since I had my first kid. I was never sure what the "proper" footwear was for a baby just learning to walk, and it seemed like all of the shoes I bought him just ended up making him trip and fall. It seemed like nothing was working but we made it through the learning- to- walk- phase and moved on with life. Enter my second child: I was tired just thinking about the early walking stage. Especially with this kid- he was clumsy (without clunky shoes) and I needed something where he could actually feel the grip of his feet on the ground. I entered a giveaway on a blog and to my surprise, I had actually won! I won my first pair of Freshly Picked Mocassins- and the rest is history.
My second child wore those mocassins for about 9 months. They were my go-to shoe before he actually needed to start wearing real shoes! He had protection from the ground, but I didn't have to worry about him tripping over rubber soles (on top of his already clumsy little self!). In fact, he wore them so much, he wore a hole right through the toe.
Aside from how awesome they are for early walkers, they are so CUTE!!! Something about a baby/toddler in mocassins gets me every time. Freshly picked offers several different styles and colors, and they even have a newborn line which are less expensive! Hooray! My 3rd little guy can't wait until he fits into his new grey moccs!!!
Freshly Picked moccs run about $50-60, but I truly feel that these are an amazing investment. They hold up so great, are handmade in the US and are truly one of the only baby products that I recommend as a definite NEED. They are also super fun to give as baby shower gifts!!!
